Brownies and Soft Sugar Cookies - Recipes for Your Sweet Tooth

Mon Aug 04, 2008 at 11:05:24 PM PDT

Sometimes you gotta just tune out and turn off the politics and -- just enjoy the ride.  For me, enjoying the ride has many meanings -- in the literal sense, it's taking a road trip with my man on the back of his harley and sometimes it's metaphorical -- trying out new recipes for my husband and family or trying to find the perfect brownie or sugar cookie recipe. Since these have been my focus the past couple weeks, I'm sharing them and hoping to spread some love.

We are the Change, We need to be the Angels

Fri May 02, 2008 at 12:06:45 PM PDT

Dear Kos community,

On the Kantor Issue, I completely agree with Sun dog.

If we Do truly Believe in Obama and we Support his message of Change and the "Audacity of Hope" then I believe that, like Obama, it starts from the ground up.  I'd rather the bottom up approach include us being our own better angels and exercising good judgement and self restraint.

Chill...Now...4 Obama...4 the movement..Jeez.

What I'm reading overall in terms of Obama support -- it's starting to get negative on Obama...

And, that's a shame.

People have too much time on their hands, both here on the blogsphere and with the media yucks who all move along with the herd...believe me, they move along with the herd.  The media yucks, the so-called analysts, the surrogates, the newspapers, THE HERD.  I don't know who is behind the Herd, but someone is...

Our Time is Now, Obama is our Man.

This is why I like Andrew Sullivan.

"What to Do about Torture" RePosted Here

Mon Apr 14, 2008 at 08:17:04 AM PDT

So far, of all the blog entries which I've read regarding the unfathomable apathy of the popular media regarding our government-sanctioned torture program, this blog entry (reposted here at author's request) contains concrete suggestions to "raise public consciousness of the issue".

Impeachment Hearings Yet, Speaker Pelosi?

Fri Apr 11, 2008 at 12:05:12 PM PDT

A reminder that in our Constitution, Article II, Section 4, it states "The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors."

Remaining Race Neutral Critical to our Society but a Challenging One Apparently Even for Senator Cli

Senator Clinton’s response to the outcry regarding Geraldine Ferraro’s comments on race makes it apparent to me that she does not understand how insidious playing to the issue of race can be in our country and how critical I believe it is to work at moving productively past the issue of race.

In response to Ms Ferraro’s statement that Senator Obama wouldn’t be where he is if he were not African American, Senator Clinton responded in an AP interview:

"I do not agree with that," and later added, "It's regrettable that any of our supporters -- on both sides, because we both have this experience -- say things that kind of veer off into the personal."

Senator Clinton of course is referring to Samantha Power’s comment that she (Senator Clinton) was a monster which I would agree with Senator Clinton is personal, very personal.
